EES Family Involvement Policy
At Elkin Elementary School, we welcome families and community members to become involved in an array of activities. We believe partnerships with parents, as well as community members, are important steps that help ensure academic success for every child.
Therefore, a top priority for the staff and administrators is frequent parent involvement. To accomplish this goal, EES offers parent training sessions for state educational requirements, help with understanding academic content, and information on how to monitor a child’s progress.
Invitations to include families are made by email, newsletters, Alert Now messages, the EES website, social media posts, notes, family-teacher conferences, telephone calls, PTA and family nights. EES believes involved families make successful students.
