What an exciting time this is in education; a time when we get to chart a new course for learning. In our ever-changing world, the faculty and staff at Elkin Elementary are committed to ensuring the academic and social- emotional success of all of our students. Whether we are in our building or learning throughout the community, we always “Do no less than our best!” 

Elkin Elementary School has a long tradition of academic excellence. This year we are proud to welcome our fourth cohort of our GLOBE Dual Language Immersion program. Elkin City Schools' Global Learning Opportunities for Bilingual Education (GLOBE) Dual Language Immersion program is available to rising kindergarten students. At this age, children have a tremendous ability to understand and learn a language other than their first language. Our program uses a full immersion model where all classroom instruction is delivered in Spanish. Our goal is that students become bilingual and bi-literate while gaining an appreciation for multiculturalism.
